"International Society for Sexual Medicine" provides information on PSSD
In two lectures, the ISSM provides information on PSSD for the first time.
Till*, 37, Duloxetine - "The doctor said I was too stressed and should relax. I've often hoped it was all just a bad dream and I'd wake up soon, but so far to no avail."
Bettina*, 53, amitriptyline - "It made me emotionally estranged from my husband. We live together like brother and sister."
Markus*, 27, citalopram - "Since I assumed that the symptoms would improve or disappear after stopping the drug at the latest, I didn't talk to anyone about it."
Simon, 35, Venlafaxine - "I was 17 years old. The conversation with the doctor lasted less than 10 minutes."
Anonymous †, 31, Trazodone - "These pills didn't make my life better, they ruined it."
Lisa*, 35 - "PSSD makes me swoon and is very distressing."
Marie*, 36, Fluoxetine - "While it was weird that I was asexual, I 'knew' that if I went off the drug completely, everything would go back to normal."
Finn*, 23, sertraline - "When I realized I had PSSD, I had strong suicidal thoughts."
Panagiotis, 33 - "The worst thing is when you don't have someone to talk to who can understand the problem."
Sissi*, 66 - "My body changed. What used to be erogenous zones was suddenly just skin. It was as if all the lines were cut."

We are pleased that PSSD is increasingly mentioned in medical literature. The 13th edition of the "Kompendium der Psychiatrischen Pharmakotherapie" now includes a section on PSSD on page 720 in Chapter 8, "Medikamente zur Behandlung von sexuellen Funktionsstörungen."
The specialized textbook "Psychiatry and Sexual Medicine" aimed at experts in the field of sexual medicine and psychiatry and published by Springer, also addresses the topic of PSSD in the chapter "Impact of Psychotropic Medications on Sexual Functioning."
